My Second Month on Xomba
62If you have never heard of Xomba, allow me to explain what the site is all about. Xomba is a social bookmarking site as well as a site on which you can write articles. When you want to post a link to your articles or post a link to something else on the web which you find interesting, you post what is called a Xomblurb. You have to include a 50 word summary of the article or site. If you decide that you want to write a unique article instead of a link, the post would be called a Xombyte. Each Xombyte (article) should be a minimum of 150 words.
On the site itself, your Xomblurbs or Xombytes are shown next to AdSense ads. Context is important as usual so you would want to include appropriate keywords in your summary in the case of a Xomblurb or write a keyword rich article in the case of a Xombyte. Xomba will alternate your AdSense code which you can provide when signing up with theirs much like HubPages does. The split is 50:50 so that half the time your AdSense code is showing.
I have been using Xomba for 2 full months now and have been very pleased with my ability to earn while simultaneously increasing traffic to my content both on HubPages and eHow. I have not yet completely linked to all of my Hubs yet. In September, I earned a total of $5.26. In October, I was able to earn $10.94. This was enough to push me over the $100 payout threshold for AdSense which I could not have achieved with HubPages alone. I have been so pleased with Xomba that I applied for and was accepted as a featured writer in the Money & Investing category.
Not only have the earnings been great, but Xomba has driven traffic to my Hubs. In just the short time that I have been posting links, I have received a total of 59 Hub views. Who knows what potential that has had on income? If you would like to drive traffic to your site and earn at the same time, I would recommend Xomba. It has worked well for me.

Thanks for sharing the info. I'll try to have a look as soon as I have some free time. You are doing very well in a very short time.
I have yet to post a Xombyte, but I have done a few blurbs and gotten a couple clicks. Even from my minimal use, I see it has potential. For example, I made a blurb just to get a link for a hub and the blurb is listed on page 2 of Google without me doing anything to promote. The Hub it links to is sitting on page 21 right now. Go figure
Sounds great, I'm going to check it out. Can you tell me how you set up a channel for Xomba in AdSense to track it? Do you just go to account settings, channels, url channels, add new url and then enter http...xomba.com, just like I enter my individual hub urls?
The issue with links featuring higher than the hub itself is likely to be due to the initial bias google gives when first indexing to ensure news is found quickly.
After a week or two I would expect the link to fall back rapidly behind the hub.
Sounds interesting Kidgas, I'm bookmarking this hub.
Just signed up under your referral code. Thanks!! Great hub!
Thank you for the info! I signed up for Xomba using your link, I also liked a couple of your hubs so much that I submitted them to Digg!
I have also heard from some of my friends that XOMBA is great community site for generating traffic...... definately will try it.......
Xomba is one lean mean earning machine that's for sure and it is fast becoming yet another great place to write as the layout is becoming much better, just I wish they would get rid of that annoying pop up every time you log in!
Great hub and your earnings can only get better!

This sounds very exciting Kidgas. You might have found "my next new place" to make money on the internet. Is payment more like Hubpages, where it goes into your adsense account - or is it like Squidoo where it's paypal. I know I'm too busy or lazy - to check it out myself.
