Online Stock Trades: A New Series
61I enjoy online stock trading very much. I manage my own retirement accounts online with Fidelity Investments as well as a taxable account through ETrade. Although I don’t trade every day, I follow my stocks closely and always keep an eye out for possible investments as well as ways to improve my investment performance. I maintain subscriptions to Forbes magazine and BusinessWeek magazine and read them cover to cover each and every week (although I am a little behind due to all the writing—see below).
I have also started trying to make money online by writing articles for HubPages and eHow. I am also documenting my thoughts and progress on a blog. I am attempting to make money online without investing any of my own money but simply using my spare time that I would otherwise use for playing games or watching TV. Someday, I think it would be wonderful to have my own website, but for now, I need to learn more about content, SEO, monetization, keywords, and traffic generation. I have learned so much in the last few months while writing for HubPages and hope to eventually take it to the next level.
In the meantime, I thought I would combine these two fun hobbies for me into one. Hence the beginning of a new series entitled, “Online Stock Trades”. I plan on taking the research and information that I obtain and highlighting 3-7 stocks in an industry with each installment. I plan on including a brief biography of the company and possibly some commentary to go along with it. This will combine the stock research that I am doing on a fairly regular basis and couple it with writing articles. The idea is that I can become a better stock trader and a better writer at the same time while producing content. Maybe someday then, I can use that content as the foundation for my own website. I guess we will just have to see what develops. Well, time to get to work on the first installment. Wish me luck!
